EFFORTS to recover the OceanGate Titan submersible have yielded evidence of human remains and the vessel’s black box voyage log which gives us the clearest picture of what unfolded during the ill-fated voyage.
“Even though they were basically gutted milliseconds after they ran into trouble, they still had enough time to see some of your really mean tweets,” confirmed a rescuer who was part of the rescue efforts.
While communication with those aboard the ill-fated OceanGate sub was lost, there was a brief window in which one phone gained 5G reception.
« Of course anyone in that situation would immediately jump on TikTok and Twitter to see what the ‘talk’ was, and yes, they’ve seen all your memes, sick, sick puppies, » the rescue team member added.
The resulting information has proven difficult for many meme creators to accept.
“Unfortunately due to the limited data collected by the black box we will never know if those who died were able to enjoy some of the memes for the high quality humor they were or if they were super disappointed with their imminent death.” said a creator of viral memes, Austin Shanks.
“Maybe the only thing worse than the idea of holding out on 72 hours of oxygen knowing you’re going to die is reading a ‘lol, the Titanic is still killing rich people after all these years. Respect!’ meme from a Twitter account called PrincessAnusSparkles69,” concluded a psychologist and ocean exploration enthusiast.
